OUR Story
Why We Do What We Do
Elise Noon, founder of Noon Environmental, became very ill in 2008 and had a difficult time getting to the root of the problem. Brain fog, lethargy, severe allergy problems, and muscle pain were daily occurrences, and she sought help from medical doctor after medical doctor. None diagnosed her correctly. When Elise realized she felt better after being away from the home for a few days, she had the home tested for mold. Tests revealed very high levels of several types of toxic mold.
Elise set out to learn all that she could about toxic mold and recovering from mold-related illness. A functional medicine doctor who was able to get her started on the right path. This would be a fairly happy ending if the health problems ended there. Although Elise had been the picture of good health before mold exposure, she struggled for years with allergies, fatigue, digestive issues, and health problems related to hormone imbalance. These physical maladies are some of the known to result of exposure to the types of mycotoxins she’d had in her home. Over the years, she heard countless stories from others of how mold devastated their health and/or the health of a loved one.
One positive outcome is that Elise became so sensitive to mold, she could often tell within 20 minutes or so that a house probably had mold. This served her well when she was working with real estate clients, and she frequently referred them to mold inspectors for testing during their option period. Again and again and again, tests confirmed what she suspected about mold. Elise also learned that there’s a huge difference in philosophy, approaches, and thoroughness of mold inspectors, and she wished every person could get a high-quality mold inspection, every time. She set out to start working in the industry and learn all she could and get the experience required to later become certified as a Mold Assessment Consultant.
Noon Environmental was born from the desire to help people get the highest quality of mold inspections, testing, and other professional help, so they can recover their health, properties, and finances as quickly as possible, before more damage could be done.
